Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi held a “fruitful roundtable” in New York with chief executive officers of top tech companies during his ongoing United States visit. In an X post the PM shared on September 23, he mentioned he was “glad to see immense optimism towards India” from the tech giants.
“Had a fruitful roundtable with tech CEOs in New York, discussing aspects relating to technology, innovation and more. Also highlighted the strides made by India in this field. I am glad to see immense optimism towards India,” @narendramodi wrote on his official X handle.
Google’s Sundar Pichai and Adobe’s Shantanu Narayena were among participating CEOs at the conference, organised by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) School of Engineering at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel on the second day of PM Modi’s three-day US tour.
Topics discussed at the meeting including new-age technology such as artificial intelligence and semiconductors.

PM @narendramodi interacted with the top tech leaders and CEOs of USA, in a Roundtable hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology School of Engineering, in New York today. PM emphasised India’s growth prospects and discussed initiatives to foster collaborations and innovation across diverse sectors,” the Ministry of External Affairs shared on X.
PM MODI MEETS PALESTINIAN PRESIDENT
The Indian PM also shared an X post, dated September 23, saying he held a bilateral meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
“Met President Mahmoud Abbas in New York. Reiterated India’s support for early restoration of peace and stability in the region. Exchanged views of further strengthening long standing friendship with the people of Palestine,” wrote @narendramodi.
A statement from the Ministry of External Affairs further said on the subject: “Prime Minister expressed deep concern at the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza and the deteriorating security situation in the region and reaffirmed India's unwavering support to the people of Palestine, including continued humanitarian assistance. He stressed that only a two State solution will deliver enduring peace and stability in the region. Recalling that India was one of the first countries to recognise Palestine, he conveyed India's continued support to Palestine membership of the UN.”
INDIA SIGNS IPEF PACT FOR CLEAN, FAIR ECONOMY
Meanwhile, on Sunday at Delaware in the US, India signed the 14-member Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) bloc’s agreements on a clean and fair economy. The agreement is meant to facilitate the deployment of clean energy and technology, and boost steps to ensure anti-corruption, a statement from the commerce ministry said. The agreement was signed in the presence of Prime Minister Modi.
