Constitution of India
The Constitution of India is the supreme law of the land, adopted on November 26, 1949, and enacted on January 26, 1950. It establishes India as a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic, republic and outlines the framework for government, its powers, duties, and the fundamental rights and duties of its citizens. Drafted by the Constituent Assembly, it is the longest written national constitution in the world.
