On May 27, the Border Security Force (BSF) released compelling video footage demonstrating its targeted attacks on Pakistan's border posts during Operation Sindoor. The operation, conducted between May 8 and 10, was a direct response to a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, which claimed 26 lives.
The footage captures Pakistani soldiers fleeing as Indian forces executed precise strikes on terror infrastructure along the International Border.

Operation Sindoor: A strategic response
Launched on May 7, Operation Sindoor aimed to dismantle terrorist networks linked to groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen.
The BSF reported striking 76 Pakistani border posts and 42 forward defence locations, while also neutralising three terrorist launchpads.
The video, released on Tuesday (May 27), includes a notable moment at 1 minute and 9 seconds, where Pakistani Rangers are seen scrambling for cover as Indian forces hit key targets.
Military precision
The BSF's operation utilised advanced weaponry, including the 'Vidhwansak' Anti-Material Rifle and Automatic Grenade Launcher, as demonstrated during a recent exhibition at the BSF Frontier Headquarters in Jammu. A BSF personnel told ANI, “This is an Anti-Material Rifle 'Vidhwansak'. Its range is 1300 m and 1800 m.”
The strikes caused significant damage to Pakistani bunkers, hideouts, and terror infrastructure, showcasing India’s military precision and technological edge.
Thwarting infiltration
The operation also addressed heightened security concerns along the border. BSF officials reported foiling an infiltration attempt by 40 to 50 suspected terrorists during Pakistani shelling. “Our brave soldiers have inflicted great losses on them. We got intelligence that a large group is trying to infiltrate,” said BSF Deputy Inspector General SS Mand to ANI.
The BSF’s high state of alertness ensured no losses to Indian infrastructure or personnel, reinforcing the operation’s success.
Context and aftermath
Operation Sindoor was a calibrated response to escalating cross-border terrorism, following the Pahalgam attack claimed by The Resistance Front, an offshoot of Lashkar-e-Taiba. The operation not only targeted terror camps but also sent a strong message to Pakistan, with Indian forces maintaining operational readiness to counter future threats.
The release of the video underscores India’s commitment to combating terrorism decisively.
